We all want to have some fun tonight for NYE, but do you really want to throw down $100-$300 to get blackout wasted? I mean, you won't remember much of your night anyway, so why spend that much? Here's a great list of 25 NYE events from the skint that are all in the neighborhood for $40 and under!

10pm: ride up to central park's belvedere castle for time's up's 15th annual new year's eve bike ride and outdoor dance party, followed by fireworks at midnight. meet at washington square park. free. >>

10pm: fireworks fill the sky above central park to cap off the new york road runners emerald nuts midnight run. 72nd street transverse near bethesda fountain, free to watch, fees apply to race. >>

10pm: ring sing in the new year with karaoke killed the cat at union hall. $5. >>

10pm: slavic soul party! rings in the new year with balkan dance music at park slope's cozy barbes. $20. >>

10pm: radegast hall and biergarten hosts a new orleans dress ball, with the love show burlesque dancers and music by professor cunningham and his old school. $5-10 cover tba. free garlic soup at 2pm. >>

11pm: sip free hot refreshments to warm up as preparation for the midnight fireworks at prospect park's grand army plaza. a few food trucks will be on hand with grub available for purchase. free admission. >>

11pm: hear works by bach, mendelssohn, langlais, ravel, debussy and copland performed on st. bartholomew's aeolian-skinner pipe organ (the largest in the city) by william k. trafka. bonus: free glass of champagne following the concert. 325 park ave @ 51st st, free. >>
